I wish to slough away my dead skin

For it is jagged and barbed and will wound

For it daily wounds me

And when it is gone, Scars I will bear

Hard memories will spear through my head

Now unbalanced and heavy, my head falls

But you give of your breast and stroke my locks and rub my chest

Our hearts in relative motion

We can feel the Earth spin

and we look on

From another time and remark

IT IS, AS IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN.

You return draped in black

The sword you carry is not the sword you left with

Now the handle of your soul is wrapped in a specific cord

Revealing neither worth nor value

But the self

the glint in your eye

Like a Raptor whose wing flaps with the strength of new found maturity

Your likeness bourne on all birds of prey and prayer alike.  You have been classified at each stage with none realizing your transformation is incomplete.

and I Love you from all ages and await your daily presence so I may decide what age i will be

When i express my love for you.

For everyday I do embody this very sentiment as it is part of my daily affirmation

Today I watch you,

MY hands under chin,

My eyes aglaze

I am a child in love

Dazzled as you remove your dress

Stretch your terrible wings,

My heart leaps into my throat

I am afraid

I AM paralyzed

Fear and Wonder

Until your eyes fall upon me

And my heart

does

freeze

And you wax a smile

And my heart does blaze

And I awaken in a path of flowers and grass underneath your window

And I know that you have gone again.

My Armor and Shield in my eternal advent through the Universe

For here we exist as thought, as math, as Will, as All

As Nothing

And time is naught to measure but to marvel at its impact on mortal worlds

But you are my Armor and Shield when I descend and walk among them

To you,

I Am he that Wields; I Am he who answers the call; I Am the one that persevereth;  I Am the one who will carry you to the edge of what there is

Bringing you to battles when you wish to fight

Polishing your face

So Rivals grow envious at your sight

And I practice daily

To wield you with strength and grace

I set my path and walk the way

So we shall always move in stillness and harmony in motion

And I did carry a bull on my shoulders

So that I may support your weight

So you may sit by the riverside and no one man can carry you away.

But when you choose a new form

It will be my Revelation

For if you prefer a bow, I shall bend

If you prefer a Sword, in fire I will be forged

Oh, but I do hope you choose the pen or the brush

For then, I can surely inspire a remembrance of us.

Stones Throw presents an Ill FlickScape from Madlib…

Who Shot Ya?

And as you left no trace

It was clear, there would be no one that could take your place

And the moon would dry my tears

And one night, I went to the window

     To look for the Moon

But the moon was not there

I dropped my head and so Newton’s force did bear my tears

And when my eyes did open

A tiny silhouette I saw and tracked its march across the street.

It jumped up and landed in the puddle of my tears.

But my heart would not allow any undo fantasy

Not until soft lips press against my neck

And softly speak, “don’t cry for me,

Just know that I cannot leave you

Any more than Earth can splinter from the Moon

And I cannot lose you for on your Soul I have left a Mark

And with these words, from her lips

And her finger pressing the point of origin

      My tears did dry

But if these words burn untrue

And you think Love is a Lie

All you must do

Is turn your eyes to the night sky

Find the Moon and if her light grows too dim

Close your eyes and listen to the crashing tide

It will be my whisper in your ear

So that you will always know that I am HERE.
